First edition. Black and white image size 7 1/2" x 5," matted and framed size 15" x 12." Drawing appears on page 69 of the book "Look-See With Uncle Bill" written by Will James and published in 1938. The pictured caption reads "He dipped his hat brim time and again for more of the coffee." The art work is signed as "Will James" and the caption reads "Out of the hat." The artwork is nicely matted and framed and in fine condition.

Approx. 13 x 9 inches, framed. Four small tape stains to marginal areas; light creases; very attractive. With two additional copies of the placemat on the verso of the frame; one showing the printed side; and another signed by several dozen classmates, and dated 6-10-55.
