Signed and inscribed by the author in black sharpie across the title page, "To Allen Peterson - Best wishes, Louis L'amour." The signature has a brief line under it. Also laid in at front is a note paper that helps with authentication. Black boards with a black cloth spine, in dustjacket, 1st edition. A very good copy, with bumping at the lower corners and a thin scrape to the bottom edge of the text block. Binding is tight as if unread, and the pages are clean. Unclipped jacket is not quite as good - bending and scuffs at the jacket corners and folds, and general shelf-wear to the panel edges - still bright and clean. 357 pp., nicely signed by this western legend.
