Most of the photographs first appeared in PRIMAL ALLIANCE (Friends of the Earth, 1971) but are here printed from new, enlarged plates and coupled, for the first time, with selections from Jeffers' verse. Folio gilt-stamped beige cloth boards with photographic inset on front cover; 76 pages plus afterword. Fine with prospectus/separate color print ("Ice Plant, Point Lobos") laid in. Housed in publisher's very good gilt-stamped, blue-gray, paper-covered slipcase which is still quite solid but showing some fading, scuffs and light wear.
