Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, this copy features a page-long inscription by Frank Boyden, the subject of this book and is signed by him, it also contains an interesting e-mail addressed to author… John McPhee by the former owner of the book explaining the book's inscription/signature as referring to William N. MacLeish ("Bill") and poet Archibald MacLeish, referred to as "your father's poems," it also contains McPhee's reply in which he offers to sign the book if the owner brings it to Albany for the lacrosse game, unfortunately, the book never got signed by Mcphee but quite a unique copy nevertheless, the book is clean and attractive, moderate inward edge-turning to the cloth spine-ends Is the only remarkable flaw, the predominately white jacket shows moderate rubbing to the glossy surface, a few short edge-tears, and a corner-crease is present on both flaps, the jacket is presentable, the original price (4.50) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included; Author Signed by Author.
