Add to basketPaperback. Condition: Near Fine. None (illustrator). First edition. Two bright volumes of poetry by Larry Eigner, with one volume featuring two pencil corrections in the hand of the author, and the other being a limited edition work. Two volumes from American poet Larry Eigner.During his lifetime, Eigner wrote dozens of books and published poems in more than one hundred magazines and anthologies. Charles Bukowski once called Eigner the 'greatest living poet'.The first work is the 1969 work 'Valleys Branches'. This features two pencil corrections in the author's distinctive hand; Eigner was palsied when he was born due to a chaotic forceps delivery, and wrote with an identifiably shaky hand. He offers a small pencil notation to the head of page 5, and writes 'no blank line' to the head of page 15.The second work is the 1972 volume 'What You Hear', of which only 220 copies were produced. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, exceptionally bright. Internally, firmly bound. Two faint pencil notations to 'Valleys', with pages otherwise clean and bright. Near Fine. signed by author. book.
