Inside the book, on three separate typed pages, are Kerry Brock's notes and questions for an inte…rview she conducted with Henry Grunwald at The Media Studies Center, an operating program of The Freedom Forum. At one time, The Freedom Forum Media Studies Center was one of the nation's leading independent media think tanks. Ms. Brock is an award-winning journalist. Both the book and the dust jacket are in excellent condition. You can see both in the photographs provided. The covers of the book are spotless. There's little to no wear, some light vertical creasing at the spine. The book is square, straight, and, despite running 658 pages, very solidly bound. The pages are exceptionally clean, including the photographs. I didn't see any creasing or dogeared corners. There aren't any markings or attachments. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The dust jacket is in excellent condition. It is very clean. There are no tears. It is NOT price-clipped. It will be fitted with a protective cover. On the back of the dust jacket are several quotes about the book. One by Alfred Kazin reads 'What a fabulous story. A Jewish kid from Vienna escapes Hitler's clutches, in America rises from a copy boy at Time Magazine to become head of the whole company and the American ambassador to Austria. And how well he knows this could've happened only in America. The book is suffused with the most marvelous ceiling for our country, and, as one exceptionally informed journalist's history of our disturbed time, wins my admiration.
