Signed by author Kenneth Dodson on title page, with a full-page inscription from him on front free endpaper; also inscribed on front pastedown by Harold Kindall, who first told Dodson the story of Hector. Both inscriptions are addressed to Hannah Jensen, who was Kildall's grandchildren's teacher. Dodson's address label on front pastedown. Third printing. Octavo in blue cloth. Light discoloration and wear to boards; text crisp and clean; rubbing, light chipping, and creased tears to jacket (some repaired with yellowed scotch tape). B&W illustrations.
