Add to basketFirst and only edition. Variant (or possibly colonial) binding of green cloth and black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A near very good copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright with a couple of tiny scuffs to the spine. The contents, rather comically with ink stamps applied to the title page and upper margin of chapter one by a previous owner requesting "Will you kindly take care of this book and do not double covers back: PLEASE", the same owner's name stamp to the front pastedown. Aside from this act of vandalism the pages are clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed, nicked and creased colonial issue dustwrapper identifiable only by the circular hole in the middle of the spine removing the British printed publisher's price. Two thirds of the dustwrapper has been backed with blue paper. Very scarce in any shape or form. A lost race novel. (Bleiler; Locke: A Spectrum of Fantasy).
