Various dates. Undated. 1) A letter on plain unheaded paper addressed 12 Regents' Park Terrace Cousins' home address requesting the recipient produce a portfolio of Calotypes for him to show about and dispose of to guests he has for dinner the following week. 2) Dated January 27th 1851. A letter on plain unheaded paper addressed 12 Regents' Park Terrace Cousins' home address to a Mr Joseph Hogarth requesting the recipient settle a very overdue bill for £35:00. 3) Dated June 22nd 1869. A letter on headed paper addressed 24 Camden Square. The letter to Dear John stating that there will be plenty of time to prepare a room for him to come and stay. 4) Undated. A letter on plain unheaded paper addressed 24 Camden Square. The letter to Dear Mr Ansdell stating he will have the pleasure of putting his name down as a guest at the dinner in Greenwich. Samuel Cousins RA ( 1801 in Exeter - 1887 in London) was a British mezzotinter. In 1855 he was elected a full member of the Royal Academy, to which he later gave in trust £15,000 to provide annuities for superannuated artists. One of the most important figures in the history of British engraving, he died in London, unmarried, in 1887 and was buried in a family grave (no.12697) on the western side of Highgate Cemetery.
