The covers are rubbed & bumped and the corners and head & tail of the spine are slightly chipped. [128] unnumbered pages, profusely illustrated including an Alphabet illustrated over 8 pages, of which 4 of these are chromolithographs, plus numerous illustrations by Louis Wain, signed Louis Wain, L. Wain or LW by him in print, as well as illustrations by others. The rear hinge is cracked and the cover and spine are pulling away from the text block. There is occasional staining & soiling with a very short tears to the edges of pages and the top edge of page 61. Good. First edition of this RARE book.
