Holmia 1705* bezeichnet und datiert. Breitrandiger Druck auf Büttenpapier. Alt unter Glas gerahmt ( Rahmenmaß: 40,5 x 84 cm - ungeöffnet ). Das Blatt zeigt von der Neustadt her einen Blick über die Elbe mit der Augustusbrücke. Im Hintergrund das Königliche Schloß und die Brühlsche Terrasse mit den Festungswerken. Auf der Elbe einige Boote. Mit schönem Altkolorit. Wohl nach der Kupferstichansicht Matthäus Merians aus dem Jahre 1650 gefertigt. Der Rahmen gering bestoßen, das Blatt im Außenrand gering fleckig sowie links unten mit einigen kleinen Tintenflecken ( durch Passepartout aber gut abdeckbar ), das Blatt leicht wellig und gebräuint - ansonsten von guter Erhaltung. Several boats are visible on the Elbe. It features beautiful original hand-coloring. It is likely based on the copper engraving by Matthäus Merian from 1650.
