    Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No DJ. Clement Hurd (illustrator). 1st Edition. Edition not stated. No indication of later printings, c 1942. Pictorial boards, quarter bound in black cloth. Boards toned, light spots of discoloration at lower corner of front board. Child's scribbling in pencil evident on rear board. Inside hinges repaired by previous owner with old book binding tape; gutter of nearly every page repaired with aging scotch tape. This aside, binding holds nicely and all pages are intact and readable. Spot on front end paper and five pages with pencil scribbling; text affected on just one contents page. Reading copy.

DJ is lightly worn with rubbing at folds and two small tears. A wonderful tale of a fire engine that with the help of townpeople fight fires. This book is not only a story but does teach children emergency procedures.
