The human skeleton comprises various bones, organized into different regions. In the skull, there are cranial sutures, frontal, parietal, temporal, sphenoid, ethmoid, and occipital bones, along with facial bones like the mandible, maxilla, nasal, and others. The vertebral column includes cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebrae, the sacrum, and coccyx. The ribcage consists of the sternum, true and false ribs, and costal cartilage. The upper limb includes bones like the clavicle, scapula, humerus, radius, ulna, carpals, metacarpals, and phalanges. The lower limb contains the pelvis, femur, patella, tibia, fibula, tarsals, metatarsals, and phalanges. Various landmarks and features, such as the foramen magnum, iliac crest, and femoral condyles, characterize these bones. Figures depict the front and back views of the bone structure.
