Millions of teenage girls fall pregnant and adolescents contract sexually transmitted infections each year. To aggravate the situation the suicide rate by teenagers has considerably catapulted across the globe leading to endemic violence even in the schools. Zimbabwe can not be excluded from adolescent problems where the challenges continue to escalate at an alarming tempo both in rural and urban schools. The study was commenced due to amplified drug abuse, violent juvenile delinquencies, teenage pregnancies, baby dumping and even bizarre suicide cases among school pupils in Zimbabwe.
