FINE hand colored map. PRISTINE. These maps seem prone to off setting. This has none, nor even a hint of aging or foxing. Comes already matted using archival materials. The atlas vol to Marshall's 2 vol 1832 "Life of Washington" contained this map. Origally published in 5 vols, none of the maps were colored. For the 1832 edition most maps were in color. FINE map. Dimension between map borders. 6.5"x9.25".

No Binding. Condition: Good. (CIVIL War, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee) "Important Operations in Georgia", a report with a large map in a single isue of The New York Herald, September 19, 1863. 22.5"x18" 12pp. The front page is a single large map measuring 18"x14" covering parts of Georgia, western North Carolina, and Eastern Tennessee. This s one full issue of the daily newspaper, extracted from a larger bound volume. There is an old horizontal fold in the middle with a 6" tear along the fold repaired verso with Japanese tissue tape (archival). There is also another very faint fold at the bottom quarter of the newspaper. Also, independent of condition, there are several printing errors along some of the top columns in the interior (pictured in the illustration section) that are printing anomalies. This is an impressive map listing I'd say 100+ towns and numerous roads and railroads. The map covers from Chattanooga (TN) in the west to Asheville (NC "Ashville") in the east, down to Milledgeville (GA) in the SE and over the Georgia/Alabama state line in the SW. GOOD condition.

Uncolored map of the southeastern colonies, featuring most prominently North Carolina and South Carolina from the London edition of John Marshall's Life of George Washington. Also good detail around the James River in Virginia. The geography and features on this London edition of this map are essentially the same as on the American edition of the same year, though the map has been entirely re-engraved. Does not show any troop locations. Very good condition, previously folded.
