The largest section (362 pages) is an A-Z list of some 20,000 Maryland family names with identification of the sources and locations of all records, publications and documents in which they appear. The book also includes sections on state records (deeds, historic papers, land records, marriages, rent rolls, wills, etc.); county courthouse records; church records (parish registers, baptisms, marriages, deaths, etc.); tombstone inscriptions; census lists; ships; passengers; directories; war records; and numerous other data sources.
