Greeting Card. Condition: Very Good. ~1950s greeting card produced and distributed by the Cook Christian Training School. Woven cotton paper folded into 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" card, with matching envelope; "The Story Behind the Indian Version of the Twenty-Third Psalm" leaflet laid-in, red text printed on white paper. Drawings of cacti printed in red, yellow, green and brown border full-color Christ the shepherd illustration, title and interior lettering in brown with red and green accents. Though the card is not dated, the the location of Cook Christian Training School given on the back of the card and the insert is Phoenix, AZ--the "interdenominational Indian training school for Christian workers" moved to Tempe, AZ in 1965, so we have dated this piece to ca. 1955-1960. As such, all parts (card, envelope and insert) are in fantastic condition, colors remain bright and bold. A rare and quite vibrant piece of mid 20th-century Christian Native American ephemera from the southwest. Ships same or next business day from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
