In addition to the military insignia it also includes Civilian Defense insignia and a two panel display of comparable ranks and base pay. The front panel exhorts"Remember Pearl Harbor! " Circa 1942. This would be an effective item in a museum or collector's display case.

This work is richly illustrated with roughly 300 of 316 beautiful woodcuts throughout, and there are countless woodcut initials throughout. Leaf X, bearing the woodcut of the audience, as lacking, as well as the last seven leaves. One vellum bound volume in folio, CCXXVII of CCXXVIII, LXXXII of LXXXIX leaves This volume is in poor shape, the vellum binding detached, some staining throughout, and damage to the first and last handful of leaves, the last leaves being more damaged. There is some staining throughout.
