Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First edition. 8vo. [4], v-xxv, [1], 1-399, [3] pp. Blue cloth with gold lettering and gold rules on the spine. Price of $2.50 on the front flap of the dust jacket. With full-page charts. With the original receipt of purchase pasted to the free front endpaper (purchased by an educator through the University of Pittsburgh). The author, Arvil S. Barr, wrote prolifically on methods of instruction for young people. He has a Graduate Fellowship named after him at the University of Wisconsin, where he taught for several years. A lean and a few spots of discoloration on the bottom textblock's edge, a few name stamps from a former private owner; jacket with a few small chips and sunned on its spine panel.
