Condition: Sehr gut. First Edition. 20 x 14 cm. xxxv, 579 pages plus 32 pages publishers list. Complete with five coloured Maps, as listed. Original cloth. Hard cover. Gilt titles on front board and spine. Rebacked in 2024. Very good condition. Some shelf wear, rubbing and bumping. Edges dust dulled. New end papers. Tipped in paper with 'the author's best wishes' dated 1882. Occasional mild foxing. A few closed tears to some of the maps. The 'frontispiece' map has been placed together with map # 1 opposite page 28.
