Felicia Flor…ine Campbell was among the first class of female officers in the U.S. Marine Corps. She founded NOW in Las Vegas and the UNLV Women's Caucus, faced censure from her co-workers in the English Department for filing a lawsuit demanding equal pay for women, organized what is today the UNLV Faculty Alliance, and remained (when last we checked) executive director of the Far West Popular Culture Association and editor of The Popular Culture Review. She has taught English at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for 54 years. Branon's first novel, "Let Us Prey," is something of a legend in book publishing circles. Branon -- Harvard graduate, retired navy dentist and captain -- reports writing the book so his youngest son Mark, imprisoned on Drug War charges, and Mark's prison buddies would have something hard-hitting to read. The prescient novel is about a group of citizens who become so fed up with America's tax and regulatory code that they take to blowing up IRS offices.
