The list of illustrations is six and a half pages long, as the 259 b&w reproductions appear throughout the book, both cuts and full-page. 8" x 10-3/4" paperback, spine sunned and rubbed along edges, light shelf wear, edges/end papers age-toned with a bit of light foxing. One date circled on copyright page, no other marks observed. Laid-in is a newspaper clipping - 1991 review of two other books on the Comedia dell' Arte.
