This copy has been dedicated by staff for the "Daily Worker" (now known as "Morning Star") to employees of a gas works for their contributions to the fighting fund. Includes the signature of J. R. Campbell, who had earlier gained notoriety for "The Campbell Case" when an attempt was made prosecute him under the Mutiny Act for his articles calling soldiers to rise against the exploiters. Also of Barbara Niven, secretary of the fighting fund, and general work horse for the paper, a remarkable woman featured on Radio 4's woman's hour. A well looked after book with clean contents, tidy boards and a firm binding.
