Paper. Condition: Collectible-Very Good (-). This is a magazine-format containing American hyperbole of the most inflammatory nature against the Japanese. It dates from 1942, just after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941 with 2,400 dead, and just as the Pacific theater of World War II was beginning. It contains many graphic photographs of the misery of war. Grisly, and a terrible reminder of just what those days were like. Racist by any modern standard. Condition notes: 66 numbered pp; PB. Pages: clean, ivory/tanned, tight; a few small tears, bottom corners slightly thumbed. Cover: wraps, color artwork/photomontage to front of two Japanese soldiers w/ bayoneted guns standing over an American or European looking woman on the ground, one soldier with rifle raised just getting ready to rifle-butt the woman, yellow titles front/spine; moderate edge/shelfwear, corner creases, tear across spine to back head/tail worn some tiny scuffs. Not for the squeamish.
