First edition, early printing with the 1974 date present on the title page, no later printings listed on the copyr…ight page, and the "P10" gutter code present on page 311. Original first issue dust jacket with $6.95 price intact on flap. Orange JAWS title is bright and rich on the spine, which is no small feat as this spine title is prone to fading. Book is tight. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Black cloth stamped in silver on spine. Black cloth is clean. Light shelfwear along panel edges/tips. A touch of toning to endpaper gutters which is not uncommon for Doubleday titles from this era, thanks to the cheap materials Doubleday was notorious for using at the time. Small, one-inch sliver of discoloration along fore-edge of front endpaper. Small faint discoloration on bottom page edges, barely. Original protected dust jacket shows light scuffing, minor soiling, and a couple of tiny chips. A nice uncommon, signed early printing of the 1974 edition, in its original $6.95 price-intact dust jacket. VG/VG. Signed by Author(s).
