Softcover. First Edition; First Printing. Wraps, very good-, spine 2/3 split, some chipping there, too; two coffee drop stains. Heavily photo illustrated with pictures of higher than usual quality; unusual mag. Contents by Albert McCarthy, Rudi Blesh, Dale Curran, Frederic Ramsey Jr., Alexander King, Condon, Hampton, etc. While there was no No. 2, this issue was republished as a book by Greenberg in the US and Musicians Press in England. The Greenberg edition appeared in both softcover and hardcover (with dj) format. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 120 pp.

Softcover. Condition: Very Good. First issue. Quarto. 120pp. Illustrated from black-and-white and color photographs. Pictorial wrappers by Paul Rand. Wrapper corners creased, spine chipped with some loss, else a very good copy with nice and bright pages. Article on Benny Goodman by Alexander King, Lionel Hampton by Peter Fischer. Featuring photographs of some of the greats like Count Basie, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Earl Hines, and so many others.
