The jacket is shiny and covered with a clear mylar protector. This retrospective begins in 1954. The portfolio is divided into multi-year sections. The opening essay writes about each section individually. The visual stream of images is mesmerizing. As the dust jacket states, "Drawing from our familiar environment, Uelsmann creates multiple imagery in the darkroom, using as many as seven enlargers to produce the image he wants on a single piece of paper." The technique produces powerful, provocative images.
