Condition: Good. 1 receipt (8 x 20 cm.), printed along the upper edge: "John Buddy's Bread and Cake Bakery, S. W. corner Eighth and Locust streets." E. P. Fritz purchased 72 loaves of bread at 27 loaves for a dollar. John Buddy was a baker in Philadelphia in the 1840s and 1850s; he moved to 8th and Locust in 1850. E.P. Fritz was probably Elizabeth Fritz, who ran a boardinghouse on N. 4th St. from 1848 to 1851. In Good Condition: light creasing; one separation with old repair.
