No jacket. The book is in really good condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. The odd spot of foxing, h…ardly noticeable. Inscribed by the author on first blank page, with the words "The Three Musketeers" with every good wish, from the author. Christmas 1947. There are twelve fabulous illustrations that were illustrated by The Right Honourable the Earl of Ypres, which apparently was the brother of the author, Lieut.-Col. the Hon. Gerald French, D.S.O. There is also a preface by the author. 124 pages all intact, all pages, text and illustrations are in really good, clean, readable order. Printed in Great Britain at St. Albans by the Mayflower Press (of Plymouth) William Brendon & Son Ltd. An ideal book for all historical hunting enthusiasts. Inscribed by Author(s).

Colville, John Rupert [Sir John Rupert Colville, CB, CVO (28 January 1915 - 19 November 1987), known as Jock Colville, was a British civil servant. He is best known for his diaries, which provide an intimate view of number 10 Downing Street during the wartime Premiership of Winston Churchill]. Field Marshal John Standish Surtees Prendergast Vereker, 6th Viscount Gort, VC, GCB, CBE, DSO & Two Bars, MVO, MC (10 July 1886 - 31 March 1946) was a senior British Army officer. As a young officer during the First World War, he was decorated with the Victoria Cross for his actions during the Battle of the Canal du Nord.
