From the private library of Andrew Leigh, General Manager of The Old Vic, London, with signed dedication to the front free end paper 'Donated 1988 to The Old Vic Library by Valerie Johnston, San Francisco'. Quarter tan goatskin over tan cloth, gilt lettering on spine, t.e.g. (minor scuffing head of spine, minor spotting to covers), still VG copy, signed on verso of title by Harley Granville-Barker, Ernst Stern, and Albert Rutherton, w/ bookplate on front pastedown. First Deluxe edition, No. 30 of 100 copies. These magnificent editions of Shakespeare were printed from the 1623 first folio editions, were edited and introduced by Harley-Granville Barker, and used illustrations by artists interested in the modern staging of Shakespeare's plays.
