Condition: Fair. SIGNED/INSCRIBED! Chicago: Albert Whitman & Co., 1938. 4th printing. Sm 4to. 80pp. Illus. by Elizabeth Enright. Inscribed by author on front free endpage. Book Good. No dust jacket. Spine ends worn. Front board illustration is slightly dampstained at top edge. Boards a bit rubbed, mall bump on bottom edge of rear board; corners frayed. Last text page was torn and taped back together; tape offset on preceding page. Inquire if you need further information.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Oversized children's book with original color DJ. Red cloth with gold lettering on the spine and gold borders on the cover, around a full cover, full color pictorial pastedown. Book and binding in very good condition. Original DJ present and in good condition, a bit dusty, with very minor chips to crown of spine and flap folds. Inscribed and signed on the front endpaper by the author, "For E-- T-- with sincere appreciation of her kindness, Marian King 1938." No date on title page. Copyright page dated only 1934. 79 pages in very good condition. No marks or previous owner's names. The illustrator, Elizabeth Enright, won a Newbery Medal in 1938. Scarce with Dj and signature.
