Original black cloth Hardback. Condition: Good. First Edition. 1846. First edition. [iii], 103pp. with many diagrams, and a 16 page publisher's catalogue. This book contains solutions of the exercises given in the "Elements of Plane Geometry" in Chambers's Educational Course - forming what is usually termed a 'Key' to that volume. The book is bound in the original black cloth covered boards with gold titling on the front board and spine. The book is in good condition except for about 1" missing from the spine about 1" from the top. The boards have some expected shelf wear with bumping to the spine ends and corners. There is a little damage and loss to the cloth at the spine ends and the cloth on the top 2 1/2" of the front spine edge is split. The contents are tight and clean with some foxing on the endpapers, title page and last page of the book. There is a name and date (1847) written on the top edge of the front free endpaper and title page. The front fixed endpaper has a label indicating that it was presented to a university library in 1890.
