Soft cover. Condition: Good. Reprint Edition. Condition: Good: The front cover shows creasing near the spine and some rubbing and edge wear. The back cover shows a penciled number, some creasing and some rubbing. The spine is rolled with chipping and edge wear. The pages are toned, but are securely bound and unmarked; the book is staple bound with slight oxidation to the staples and with the first six pages pulled slightly away from the bottom staple. The page edges show some darkening on the top edge and mild rubbing. This book will be placed in a new archival bag and shipped after receipt of payment in a reinforced padded mailer with a USPS tracking number.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Very Good with light edge and corner wear. 2 light front reader's creases. Small spine end chips. Some small edge and corner creases mostly to back cover. Interior is unmarked with clean light brown pages.

Paperback. Condition: VG. 1st Printing. Handi-Books #44, 1945. First printing. 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" paperback is bo und in pictorial wrappers. Very Good condition. Rubs to the spine tips and corners. Creases to the spine seams. The rear wrapper has a diago nal 1" crease at its upper left corner and some stress creases at its spine seam. Age toning to the pages.

This copy is in Very Good condition with wear to the spine and edges so the covers. This is a Stapled digest size book. Handi-Books advertised that they abridged their stories to 50,000 words to lower costs. The very early books cost only 15 cents.

Condition: Good. 7.5 x 5", red cloth, 187pp, extremities bumped, a white drip mark down rear cover at hinge, ink inscription from former owner at top of front fly, pp quite browned else a nicely preserved copy in a rubbed, soiled, edge-worn dustjacket with an old browned tape stain on rear cover. SCARCE. Still, nicer than it sounds. FIRST EDITION.
