Contemporary blind ruled calf binding with the loss of a small piece of leather from the fore edge of both boards. The blank fore edge of the engraved title page is neatly repaired and the recto of that leaf is filled by pen trials and the signatures of three early owners. Occasional signs of use and the lower corner of the final leaf repaired, affecting three letters of the last word. The text is loosely based on Part 2 of: Blaeu, Willem Janszoon. Institutio astronomica de usu globorum et sphaerarum caelestium ac terrestrium. ESTC R23159. A second edition whch is far nore common appeared in 1670.
