Insbesondere versuchte er zu beweisen, dass in diesem Text der Untergang Roms vorhergesagt wurde und dass andere vorhergesagte Ereignisse noch nicht eingetreten waren. Es folgt die Übersetzung von Bossuet, ein langes, ernstes und tiefgründiges Gedicht. Ausführliche Erläuterungen erleichtern das Verständnis des Textes. - Einband etwas stärker berieben und bestoßen, minimal wurmspurig, Deckel leicht abgerieben, hs. Rs., florale Goldverzierung auf Rücken, Vorsatz mit hs. Vermerken, Titel mit alten hs.
