Dust Jacket Condition: dj. First Edition. First edition of his first book to be published under this name. Collects thirteen short stories about "country life and the open air" and "excitement experienced in fishing, hunting, and shooting" (dust jacket flap). 12mo light green cloth lettered in black or perhaps dark blue on spine; 216 pages. Very good to near fine with spine ends sunned, first and last several leaves lightly foxed; in good dust jacket with 1/2-inch loss to head of spine (not affecting any lettering), foxing to verso visible on rear panel, and internal archival repair. Signed.
