INSCRIBED : "Inscribed for Dr. Balboni / with the warm friendship of / Henry Knox Sherrill" and with Balboni's bookplate. Continues the story told in Bishop Lawrence's earlier autobiography. Previous owner is likely Dr. Balboni of Massachusetts General Hospital, who would have known the author when Sherrill was Chaplain at the hospital (around 1921). Sherrill's papers are at Yale University. Previous owner Balboni is quite likely: Gerardo Balboni (1879-1966).
