Laura Gilpin (1891-1979) was a photographer known for her landscapes in the Southwest, and her studies of Native Americans, particularly the Navaho and Pueblo tribes. The quality of light and the character studies are remarkable. In stiff buff wrappers illustrated with a photograph. Dampstain to corner of covers, covers, not affecting interior, hence the "damaged books" stamped on the lower edges of the text block. Internally fine.
