Writing area: 22 x 14 cm with wide margins Likely Italian in origin as it follows the Papal standard and has decoration and illumination consistent with an Italian origin. Book hand miniscule with red and blue decorated initials. 11 large Lombard initials with intricate purple filigree decoration This fragment contains the start of the Temporale (Propers for the Sundays of the Church year) starting from its beginning at the first Sunday in Advent. £2200.
