Worn but sound copy in full brown leather with black spine label, 1040 pages plus 1847 publisher's 32 page catalog bound in at rear. Covers worn with some heavy scrapes and surface peeling, good joints/hinges, sound text block, age-toned but clean pages, catalog section yellowed and foxed with additional darkening to outer margins, endpapers darkened and spotted with names on the front free endpaper. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Large hardcover. Brown leather over boards with gold lettering on black title plate on spine. Title page dated 1850, copyright page dated 1845. 1040 pages, plus ads. In fair condition. Some rubbing to covers, across boards and especially at corners, edges, and hinges. Corners bumped a bit. Lettering and striped gold stamping remain relatively unworn. Binding is tight. Dark stain to top edge of second half of text block and rear endpaper. Heavy foxing and damp-staining throughout. Page 1014 dog-eared in upper corner. A ad pages at the end dog-eared in lower corner. Overall this copy is sturdy, but shows its age. In fine reading condition. This is an oversized (and overweight) book. Extra shipping charges may be required for international or priority delivery.
