Of the 50 lined pages of the notebook, Lloyd uses 46 to record contents, presumably for a class at the convent. Headings for the ledger includes, "Day-Book" entries; "Index to the Ledger," with names and locations; "State of my Affairs"; "A Housekeepers Account"; "Invoices"; "Bill of Parcels"; "Promissory Notes"; "Letters de Changes"; "Drafts"; "Receipts"; "Workmen's Account"; "Rule of Three"; "Practice"; "Interest"; and "Discount". Lloyd uses illustrated calligraphy throughout the ledger for these titles. The final pages feature equations by Lloyd answering questions about the ledger information.
