First editions of the fourth to seventh novels in the Cormoran Strike series, written by J. K. Rowling and published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Octavo, four volumes, original cloth. Signed by the author on the title page of each volume, âRobert Galbraith.â With Rowlingâs hologram sticker to the verso of the half-title page. Each volume is fine in a fine to near fine dust jacket. Jacket design by Duncan Spilling. Uncommon signed. The fourth through seventh novels in Robert Galbraithâs Cormoran Strike seriesâ"Lethal White (2018), Troubled Blood (2020), The Ink Black Heart (2022), and The Running Grave (2023)â"mark a deepening complexity in both narrative scope and psychological depth, as the evolving partnership between private detective Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott navigates increasingly intricate cases alongside their own personal entanglements. Troubled Blood, a 900-page cold case narrative, received particular acclaim and won the 2021 British Book Award for Crime and Thriller Book of the Year, while The Ink Black Heart was noted for its metafictional structure and commentary on fandom and internet culture. The books have been commercial successes, with Lethal White debuting at number one on the UK bestseller list and The Running Grave topping charts in both the UK and U.S. upon release.
