The front end page has been signed and inscribed by the subject of the book, Nico Israel, to the late Robyn Fryde, an antiquarian book dealer of note in South Africa, who also owned Thorold's Books. The boards are shelf rubbed and marked, but remain bright, strong and sturdy. Internally, there are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are neat, crisp and complete.
