    Cm. 20,4, mezza perg. coeva, tit. e fregi in oro al dorso, piatti in carta marm. azzurrina, pag. (24) compreso bellissimo antiporta allegorico a p. pag. in rame, 366 (1 c.b.). Un timbro di bibl. estinta al front. ed uno al verso della tav. allegorica (con firma a penna "Spalma", probabilmente apocrifa). Ottimo esemplare. Melzi, vol. 3, pag. 85, ritiene che l'opera sia di mano dello stesso Porroni (Argelati, Bibl. Script. Med., II, 1112). ICCU segnala soli 3 esemplari, catalogati sotto Spalma. Ricordiamo che il Porroni fu autore di un rinomato trattato di Architettura militare (Trattato Universale militare moderno, 1676). L'opera è suddivisa in tre parti: la prima riporta un ampio epistolario con importanti personaggi coi quali il Porroni ha avuto contatto; la seconda è in pratica un trattato di norme cavalleresche da osservarsi da ciascun cavaliere d'onore; la terza parte è la vera e propria apologia al libro "La vita del Conte Bartolomeo Arese Presidente del Senato di Milano", nel quale il Porroni viene diffamato. Interessante, a pag. 350, la presa di posizione in difesa di Giuseppe Francesco Borri, famoso alchimista a quei tempi in prigione a Roma, anch'egli accusato e diffamato nella stessa opera.
