The author signed this volume with bright red cloth boards and gilt lettering on the spine and front cover on the front free end paper. The interior of the book is clean and bright and without marks. Also included is a flyer advertising the book and the dust jacket. The dust jacket has some minor tears along the edges, a bit of top paper loss affecting the blue background on the front cover and spine, and also affecting the author's name on the spine. The dust wrapper also exhibits some light soiling. The original price is on the rear flap toward the bottom. The dust jacket is now protected by a clear removable cover. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Limited Edition. Limited Edition of sixty Numbered Copies, each containing an example of the author's personal pattern in a sunken mount, with his Signature. This book is "essentially a dictionary of over 800 traditional and modern dressings from an Irish fly-tyer's notebook, filling a major gap in angling literature: there is information on hooks, fly-dressing materials and their preparation, with a guide to vegetable dyeing and the materials used to obtain the subtle colours beloved by the traditional fly tyers. Trout and salmon fly dressings each have their own section, and there are appendices that provide information on where to fish throughout Ireland, and often on which flies are particularly effective in each area".
