André Sauret. Monte Carlo. 1960. First edition. Large 4to hardback in DW. Complete with all 12 Chagall original lithographs plus many other colour and b/w plates. The title page, the reverse of title and the introduction by Chagall, pages 9-12 are loose. Small label removed from rear pastedown, two small dents to rear panel of wrapper that have lightly impacted to lower board. The wrapper (itself a Chagall lithograph) has chips and wear to edges, particularly along the top edge and tail of spine. It is protected by a removable clear mylar sleeve and is still very bright.

Original-Leinwand mit farbig illustriertem Schutzumschlag und Cellophanumschlag im schlichten Original-Pappschuber, 4° ( 32,5 x 25 cm ). Die 10 im Buch enthaltenen Originallithographien sind: Cover - Frontispiece - Offering - Our house in my village - Profile and red child - Couple in front of tree - Lovers with red sun - Angel Bay - Vision of Paris - The Angel - The Circus - Woman Juggler. Der Originalumschlag als farbige Originallithographie ist gering berieben, gering angerändert, Ecken des Umschlags sind etwas bestoßen. Der Cellophanumschlag am schmalen Einbandrücken zum oberen Kapital gering beschädigt. Innen von guter Erhaltung mit farbfrischen Lithographien. ( Gewicht ca. 2050 Gramm ). Original canvas with color-illustrated dust jacket and cellophane wrapper in the simple original cardboard slipcase, 4° ( 32.5 x 25 cm ). The original cover, a color lithograph, is slightly rubbed, slightly edged, and the corners are slightly bumped.
