Broadside, a single sheet measuring 9.5 X 8.5 inches. Text in black on cream stock, one large device in red. Tanner colophon printed on the rear. Crease to lower corner, soft crease to other lower corner, a clean very good copy. At the bottom edge is printed: "From 'The Captain's Verses', copyright (c) 1972 by New Directions. This is a gift from Moe's for the New Year: 1979." There exists another issue of this broadside which has a different text at the bottom edge: "A gift poem in celebration of the New Year: from Eric, Jessica and Karen Cross." The poem was translated by Donald D. Walsh.
