Quarter leather and paper bound book: Leather is missing from spine; boards also have leather loss with additional areas of cracking and lift but hanging on. Paper over boards have staining, discoloration. Edge wear, boards exposed along edges. Corners bumped, bowed, torn. Fly page: "Read this book and kindly pass it on to another soldier, and sign your name," followed by a list of names. Two columns of numbers in pencil written on rear fly. To the Dedication Page there is signed "Good luck! George R. Hilton" (to whom book is dedicated). Owner's embossed stamp to same page and to Title Page. Tanning throughout, page edge wear with tearing, soil here and there, more pronounced to prelim pages. Damage to the fore edge margins of pages 51-75. Large tear across the width of page 75.
