Emily Blair and family are moving into an 18 room house along with her wild cousins - but the year turns out to be more wonderful than anything she could have expected. Author's bio on back flap says she grew up in a big house like the one in this story. Legally blind since birth in 1932, she attended school in regular classes, then taught diisabled children for several years. Her first children's book - Mine for Keeps - is about a child with cerebral palsy. She traveled extensively for several years with guide dogs, and wrote using a talking computer.
