It is one of several bestselling travel books written by Sinclair in the 1930s, following Foot-loose in India and Cannibal Quest.

This is the true first edition printed in Canada not USA. 1935 book by Gordon Sinclair that describes his travels from Devil's Island to the jungles of West Africa, a region often called "The White Man's Grave". The book is a travelogue about this journey and features illustrations from photographs. DJ is mostly intact but price clipped, chipped, torn, and missing a few pieces. Green boards show some sun fading. Minor corner bumping. Binding tight and square. 267 interior pages crisp and clean.

This does not affect the dustjacket in any way, as all taping is done on the outside of the protector. This book is Loose Among Devils Original 1935 edition. No Signature.
